Thomas Main from Berwick upon Tweed enlisted in to the 12th Lancers in Newcastle in 1890 & served with the regiment in South Africa from 22-10-1899 through to 11-6-1900. He returned home 12-6-1900 & took his discharge 24-11-1902 after 12 years service.
