Frederick William Archer was born at Braires, Warwickshire & both lived & enlisted in Wolverhampton. He was killed in action in France & Flanders 22-8-1918 serving with the 12th service battalion of the Royal Scots. He was 28 years of age at the time of his death & is buried in Le Peuplier military cemetery at Caestre. The CWGC state that he was the late son of Thomas William & Ann Mary Archer of Whitemore reans, Wolverhampton.
