Edward Roughley first landed in France 16-11-1915 serving with the 1/5th South Lancashire regiment & finished his war serving with the same battalion as a captain. He applied for the issue of his campaign medals in 1922 whilst living at The Hawthorns, Lawton Road, Rainhill, Lancs.
