John ogilvy Adams was born in Dundee 1893 & was educated at Harris academy Dundee. He enlisted in to the 4th Black Watch on the outbreak of war. He first landed in France 24-2-1915 & was wounded 29-8-1915. He returned to the UK in January 1916 & went on to be commissioned into the 4/5th Black Watch. He returned to France 22-1-1917 & was wounded in the knee 31-7-1917. He left the army in 1919 and emigrated to the USA in 1923.
