Charles Edgar Blackwell was born in Rushden, Northamptonshire & enlisted in Northampton. He was sadly killed in action in France & Flanders 9-4-1917 serving with the 21st service battalion of the Northumberland Fusiliers / 2nd Tyneside Scottish. He is buried in Roclincourt valley cemetery.
