Harold Arthur Livingstone Raynor was the son of the Rev. Arthur Guy Sandars Raynor and Ada S. S. Raynor. He was educated at Winchester college & Hertford college, Oxford. He was commissioned in to the 3rd battalion of the Rifle Brigade & served in France with D- Company of the battalion. He was wounded in action 22-5-1918 by a bomb thrown by a German infantryman during the attack on Cambrai L'abbey, South of Loos. He was transported back to the UK but died of his wounds at the Empire Hospital in London 7-6-1918 age 19 & is buried Heston (St.Leonard) churchyard Middlesex.
