Albert Edward Johnson was born in Holborn, London & enlisted in to the 18th Hussars at Aldershot 3-4-1889 age 18. He served with the regiment in South Africa 15-10-1898 through to 1-3-1902. He returned to the UK 2-3-1902 & took his discharge 10-4-1902 after 13 years & 8 days of colour service.
