William Walter Harrington was born in Wimbledon 21-4-1877 & he enlisted in to the Royal Navy in 1897. He served onboard HMS Sappho during the Boer war & was one of 255 members of the ships crew to be awarded the QSA. He continued to serve until 1919 & is also entitled to the 1914-15 trio & RN LS&GC
