William Hastings Clifford first landed overseas 16-8-1914 serving as a Sjt with the 20th Hussars with service number 2607. He was commissioned in to the 10th Royal Warwickshire Regiment & finished his war serving as a Lieutenant with the Worcester Regiment. He was still serving in 1920 when he applied for his 1914 star & used his agents Cox & co of Charing Cross of his address for correspondence. But his MIC notes that he was serving at Aldershot at time.
