Harry.T.Robson from Blaydon enlisted in to the 24th battalion of the Northumberland Fusiliers / 1st Tyneside Irish 11-11-1914 & went on to be wounded in France in March of 1916. He was awarded the DCM in the London gazette 9-7-1917 with the following citation
For Conspicuous gallantry & devotion to duty. He has consistently performed good work throughout & has at all times set a fine example.
One of only 24 awards of the DCM to all four Tyneside Irish battalions & one of only four examples to the original members of the 24th battalion.
