George Rowaland was commissioned 1846 & retired in 1866. He served with the regiment in China 1860 and was present at the taking of Sinho & Tangku, the occupation of Tientsin & the surrender of Pekin.
He died in Ryde on the isle of wight 18-6-1913 age 86.
