Francis Henry Stanley Hawkesworth was the 20 year old son of the reverend & Mrs. Hawkesworth of Ambleside. He attended St.Bedes school & Queen's college Oxford. He was commissioned in to the 3rd Border regiment but was attached to the 2nd battalion of the Welsh Regiment when he was killed in action in France & Flanders 25-1-1915. He has no known grave but is commemorated on the Le Touret memorial.
