Andrew McEwan was born in St Cuthberts, Midlothian & enlisted at Leith Fort, Midlothian. Whilst living in Edinburgh. He first landed in France 16-3-1915 serving with the 2nd battalion & was sadly killed in action in France & Flanders 28-5-1916. He is buried in Faubourg D'Amiens cemetery at Arras & was 27 years of age at the time of his death.
