Harry Victor Jones first landed in France with the Coldstream Guards 24-12-1915 & received a gun shot wound to the neck 5-4-1916. He was posted to the Guards Machine Gun regiment 1-12-1917 & posted to the 4th Guards.M.G.Regiment 7-7-1917. He was sadly killed in action in France & Flanders 21-8-1918 serving with the 4th battalion of the Guards Machine Gun regiment. He was a resident of Enfield and has a good photo & obituary in the Enfield roll of honour. He was 24 years of age at the time of his death & is buried in Bucquoy road cemetery at Ficheux. He is recorded by the CWGC as the late son of Harry & Emma Jones of 14 Kimberley Gardens, Enfield, Middlesex.
Complete with the silver sports medals to the recipient. Including one that is engraved to the Guards Machine Gun Regiment 21-8-1918.
