Bernard Brocklebank from Darlington, County Durham first landed in France 26-8-1915 serving with the 10th service battalion of the Northumberland Fusiliers. He went on to transfer to the Royal Engineers with service number 193167 & was awarded the Military Medal for services in France with the 32nd Division wireless sub section in the London gazette 21-10-1918. He was discharged to the class Z army reserve 4-6-1919
