Edward Victor Bolton enlisted in to the 1st battalion of the Border Regiment 20-6-1910 & first landed in theatre of war 2B Gallipoli / The Balkans. He was captured by the Germans and taken prisoner of war at Templeux 1-5-1918. He was held at Parchim & was serving with the 5th battalion at the time of his capture. He returned to the UK at the wars end & was discharged with a silver war badge age 27 18-4-1919 & returned to live in West Ealing, London
