Tom Symes was born in Bridport 9-12-1876 & enlisted in to the Royal Navy in 1894. He served ashore from HMS Orlando during the Boxer rebellion & received bullet wounds to both thighs at Langfang 18-6-1900. He was awarded his LS&GC in 1910 whilst serving onboard HMS Hermes & during WW1 he spent most of his service onboard HMS Brittania & HMS Greenwich & was finally discharged to the RFR in 1918.
VF or better with contact marks & minor eks. Complete with copy service papers & casualty roll details. One of 194 Relief of Pekin clasps to HMS Orlando out of a total of 530 China 1900 medals to the ship.
