Henry Divers was born in Kent 30-9-1874 & enlisted in to the Royal Navy 26-1-1894. He served on land with one of the shore parties from HMS Barfleur during the relief of Pekin during the boxer rebellion of 1900. He received a bullet wound to the left thigh at Pietsang 21-6-1900 & was discharged time expired in 1906 & on the outbreak of WW1 he enlisted in to the R.A.M.C & first landed in France 11-4-1915.
