John William Dixon lived at 16 Outake terrace, Rooney Street, Hull, East Yorkshire & enlisted in to the 1/4th battalion of the East Yorkshire Regiment 11-5-1908. He first landed in France 17-4-1915 & went on to be mentioned in despatches by Sir Douglas Haigh for services in France in the London gazette 22-5-1917. He was discharged with a silver war badge 18-9-1918 as medical catergory B1 age 34 & was awarded his T.F.E.M in 1919.
The MID was published under the incorrect number 20038 as opposed to 200038 but this is all confirmed in his paperwork.
