Robert.H.Fordyce first landed overseas in France 2-12-1915 serving with the 6th battalion of the Gordon Highlanders. He transferred to the railway operating depot of the Royal Engineers & went on to be awarded the Military Medal for services in France & Flanders in the London gazette 26-4-1917.
