Colin De Stuteville Issacson was educated at Rugby school & the RMC Sandhurst. He was commissioned in to the Royal Scots in 1902 & served with them until 1907 when he moved to East Africa & became a settler in Londiani. He was commissioned in to the East Africa Regiment & first served with the Regiment in East Africa from 10-8-1914 & went on to be M.I.D for East Africa 3-5-1916 & awarded the MC for East Africa 3-6-1917. He was sadly killed in action in East Africa 11-6-1917 at Lindi whilst leading his min in to an adavance. He is buried in Mingoyo cemetery & is recorded by the CWGC as the late son of Major.J.DE.S.Isaacson of Pelham place, South Kensington, London. He is well written up & has a photograph in memorials of Rugbeians volume V &
number of other published sources along with De Ruvignys roll of honour.
