Thomas Turnbull first landed in France 18-5-1915 serving with the 2nd Dragoon Guards / Queen's Bays & went on to be commissioned in to the Machine gun corps 24-10-1916. He applied for the issue of his trio in 1921 whilst living in Kirkcudbright, Scotland.
