A very nice family group to two brothers from Rawdon near Leeds
1) 1914-15 Trio

Clarence Ruel Harper first landed in France 15-4-15 serving with the 6th battalion of the West Yorkshire Regiment. He was commissioned in to his own battalion 11-10-1915 & was sadly killed in action in France & Flanders 15-7-1916 when the battalion was attacked for the very first time by German flame throwers. He was 24 years of age at the time of his death & is buried in Blighty valley cemetery at Authullie wood.
2) WW1 Pair with M.I.D oakleaves & GVR 1st type WW1 immediate M.S.M

William exley Harper served in France with the 29th division motor transport company of the R.A.S.C. He was M.I.D for services in France by sir Douglas Haigh in the London gazette 25-5-1918 & went on to be awarded the MSM also for services in France in the London gazette 18-1-1919.
Both men were the two older sons of Charles Harper of Burwood, Rawdon, Leeds.
Both groups are NEF or better & the second group is swing mounted as worn.
Complete with MIC details for both recipients. Along with ODGW & CWGC for the casualty & London gazette details for the survivor.
