Robert Kelman from Aberdeen first landed in France 2-5-1915 & was awarded the MM for services in France in the London gazette 17-9-1917. He was badly wounded in France 12-10-1918 & spent a long period of time in hospital in France. Prior to enlisting he was a stonecutter & Stewart & Coy granite merchant. The local newspaper carried an image of the recipient & stated that his MM was for saving the guns & ammunition
