Ernest Fuge Hodges was born 9-7-1925 & served with the Merchant Navy during WW2. He enlisted in to the K.O.S.B in 1945 & went on to serve with the Regiment in four different campaigns.
In 1962 he applied to join his local branch of the Burma Star association and stated that he lived in Prestwick & was entitled to join the association as a holder of the Pacific star for his services in the Merchant Navy during WW2 & that he had served in Korea with the Army. The application form also confirms his army number.
A very unusual combination that is confirmed.
The GSM is a slightly later issue with a swivel suspender.
Swing mounted as worn & complete with medal roll details for the WW2 campaign medals & the Palestine 1945-48 clasp for the GSM.
