William Noble Atkins was born in Fulham 30-6-1883 & enlisted in to the Royal Navy as a boy in 1902. He served onboard HMS Cossack during the Somaliland campaign & in 1903 was sentenced for using foul language & attempting to strike a superior officer. In January 1908 whilst serving at HMS Victory he deserted & was not recovered until April at which point the navy dispensed with his services.
