WW1 1914-15 Trio & Memorial Plaque

Thomas Fraser was both born & lived in Harrington, Cumberland & enlisted in Barrow in Furness. He first landed in France 4-9-1915 serving with the 9th service battalion of the regiment. But was very quickly moved with the rest of the battalion to serve in Salonica 8-11-1915. He was taken ill in Salonica & hospitalised on Malta where he sadly died 12-2-16. He is buried in Pieta military cemetery on Malta.
