Edward Sutcliffe first landed in theatre of war 2B The Balkans / Gallipoli 25-4-1915 and is recorded in the Times casualty list as having been twice wounded on Gallipoli 7-6-15 & 2-8-1915. He was awarded the MM for services in France with the 1st battalion in the London gazette 21-12-1916.He continued to serve with the battalion for the duration of the war & beyond and was finally discharged to the section B of the army reserve 4-6-1921.
