Stanley Wood was both born & enlisted in Liverpool & was sadly killed inn action in France & Flanders 2-9-1918 & is recorded on page 320 of the regimental history by Major General Later as having been awarded his MM for the same action in March of 1918 that Lieutenant Cassidy of the battalion won the VC. He is buried in Vis-En-Artois British cemetery at Haucourt & was awarded the Military Medal in the London gazette 12-6-1918.
A scarce medal named to a Drummer & awarded for a VC action.
