Robert Jackson was born in Stoke on Trent 16-6-1843 & enlisted in to the R.M.L.I 13-6-1862 when he stated that he was a potter from Wolverhampton. He served in Canada 1866-1867 & returned to the UK 21-12-1867. He was discharged in 1874 & his medal was issued in 1899.
