Brigade Surgeon William Henry Harris served in the Crimea from 22-5-1855 & was involved in both the siege & fall of Sebastopol & the battle of Tchernaya. He went on to serve in the Indian Mutiny & served as part of the Oudh campaign. He was born in Handsworth Staffordshire in 1830 & was commissioned in 1855. He retired as honorary brigade surgeon in 1880 & passed away in 1904.
VF or better with minor eks & contact marks. A contemporary replacement suspender on the Turkish Crimea & swing mounted for wear on modern ribbons from a period silver buckle bar. Complete with very basic research & service details.
