Ernest Humphrey Moore was awarded the DSM for services at Gallipoli in the London gazette 15-5-1916 when a party of men from HMS Inflexible were involved as the landing party for the men of the South Wales Borderers at Morto bay Gallipoli 25-4-1915 & the recommendation states
HMS Inflexible Gallipoli 25-April 1915. During the the landing of the South Wales Borderers on 25th April a party of men from HMS Inflexible performed most valuable service, being highly spoken of by Lieutenant Colonel.H.G.Casson,commanding South Wales Borderers. All performed well, Three Men were selected from 27 for recommendation for the DSM.
Sadly the recipients 1914-15 Star is missing from the group.
