George Ormiston first landed in theatre of war 3 (Egypt) 24-4-1915 serving with the Warwickshire Yeomanry. He went on to transfer to the Machine Gun Corps with service number 164808. His trio was issued to him at the police station in Ashington, Northumberland & on the 1939 Register he can be found living in Gosforth as a police inspector. He was awarded the 1953 coronation in the same position & still serving with the same force.
