John.A.Purvis was one of the original members of the 25th service battalion of the Northumberland Fusiliers / 2nd Tyneside Irish. He lived at 17 Tarmac Street, Newcastle on Tyne & served with A-Company. He is recorded in the war office casualty lists as having been wounded 24-4-1918 & having being admitted to hospital with Syphilis 10-8-1918.
A nice pair to a senior NCO of a good battalion. Who clearly enjoyed some of his service overseas.
NEF & Complete with both MIC & casualty roll details.
