WW1 Mercantile Marine War Medal

Revington Ashe O'Brady Jones was born in Morpeth in 1890 and was a member of the Mercantile Marine on the outbreak of WW1. He was commissioned in to the R.N.R 13-3-1915 and served as a temporary engineer Lieutenant onboard the Carmania sailing from Tilbury. He was paid off at the wars end and his British war medal was issued by the admiralty whilst his Mercantile Marine Medal was issued by the board of trade. He gave his address on discharge as 7 South parade, Whitley Bay or C/O Mrs Scott of 5 Priors terrace, Tynemouth.
