John James Edwards was born in Devonport 11-2-48 & enlisted in to the Royal Navy as Stoker in 1871. He served onboard HMS Tamar during the Egypt campaign of 1882 & was awarded his LS&GC in 1891 which was the same year that he was discharged to a pension.
