Frank Ewart Tiplady from Finchley was a former member of the university of London O.T.C and was commissioned in March 1915. He was sadly killed in action in France & Flanders during the battle of Loos 27-9-1915 age 22. He had twice been wounded during the same battle. He is buried in Lapugnoy military cemetery & is recorded by the C.W.G.C as the late son of Samuel Nash Tiplady & Martha Annie Tiplady of 16 Moss Hall Villas, North Finchley, London.
