Alfred Graham Hunter from Benwell, Newcastle on Tyne enlisted in to the 28th reserve battalion of the Northumberland Fusiliers 31-1-1916 & went on to transfer to the M.G.C before proceeding overseas 9-7-1916.He was awarded the Military Medal for services in France in the London gazette 29-8-1918 & was badly wounded in France 22-5-1918 which resulted in the amputation of his arm. He was discharged with a silver war badge due to his wounds 30-4-1919 age 27.
