A truly rare & unique group to the Royal Engineers
1914-15 trio, 1939-45 Star, Defence Medal, 1939-45 War Medal with M.I.D Oakleaf, 1935 Silver Jubilee, 1937 Coronation, Efficiency decoration dated 1953 to the reverse with three extra service clasps all also dated 1953 to the reverse & a French Croix-De-Guerre dated 1914-1918 to the reverse

Alexander Robertson first landed in France 3-5-1915 and was awarded the French Croix-De-Guerre in the London gazette 1-5-1917. He was discharged to the class Z army reserve 7-2-1919 & went on to both serve with & become C.O of 103rd Army troops coy Royal Engineers (Glasgow) as part of the supplementary reserve. He took his unit to France in 1940 and was evacuated via St Nazaire in June of that year. He was M.I.D for this action & went on to be only of a total of only 26 recipients of the Efficiency decoration with Army Emergency reserve bar & three extra clasps. A truly superb group that comes with a good archive of original documents that include the certificates for both Royal commemorative medals along with a selection of photographs of the recipient in uniform, the recipients miniature medals, the case for the AER decoration & other associated documents.
Court mounted as worn with the exception of the A.E.R decoration which is mint in its original case of issue.
Court mounted group GVF or better. Whilst the AER decoration is EF/MINT.
