Henry Caldwell enlisted 9-10-1898 and first landed in France 15-8-1914 serving with the 1st battalion of the Scottish Rifles. He was wounded in France 28-11-1914 & went on to be transferred to the 14th battalion of the Highland Light Infantry with service number 29150.
