Ernest Parker from Brightside in Sheffield enlisted in to the 2nd battalion of the West Riding Regiment on the 10th of April 1893 age 18. He served in South Africa 27-5-1896 to 6-3-1898 when he was invalided home & discharged from the army two days later due to vascular disease of the heart. He was issued with a 25% pension due to his disability & never served again. As such this medal is his sole entitlement.
NEF with minor rim bruise / scuff to the second letter E of the recipients Christian name. Complete with copy service papers, medical papers & medal roll details.
