James Loughran enlisted in to the 2nd battalion of the Border Regiment 18-8-1914 & first landed in France 4-1-1915. He was discharged with a silver war badge due to sickness 10-12-1917 & in 1938 his widow applied for the issue of his trio whilst living in Cambuslang, Lanarkshire.
