Sidney Picton Evans was born in Llanely, Carmarthenshire & enlisted in Neyland, Pembrokshire. He first landed overseas in theatre of war 2B Gallipoli 2-8-1915 serving with the 1st Welsh Field Company of the Royal Engineers & was sadly killed in action on Gallipoli just 19 days later 21-8-1915. He is buried in Green hill cemetery on Gallipoli.
