Alexander Methven first landed in France 29-6-1915 serving with the 11th service battalion of the Royal Scots. He was sadly killed in action in France & Flanders 27-1-1917 & is buried in the Faubourg D'Amiens cemetery at Arras. He was born in Forfar & enlisted in Glasgow whilst living in Newton Merans, Renfrewshire.
