Stanley Cyril Carter was commissioned in to the Hampshire fortress company of the Royal Engineers
1-9-1914 & first landed in France 4-10-1915.He was mentioned in despatches for services in France
18-5-1917 & this was followed by the award of the Military Cross in the London gazette 1-1-1918.
He applied for the issue of his campaign medals in 1921 and gave his home address as 83 Abore Row, Southampton.
