George.C.Mills first landed in France 17-8-1914 serving with the 16th Lancers. He was commissioned in to the West Yorkshire Regiment 6-2-1915 and was sadly killed in action in France & Flanders 10-7-1916 serving with the 11th service battalion. He was 27 years of age at the time of his death & is buried in Pozieres British Cemetery at Ovillers-La Boisselle & is recorded by the C.W.G.C as the late son of George & Amelia Mills of Garden House, Pilot street, Kings Lynn.
