C.M.G NECK BADGE IN SILVER GILT & ENAMEL, WW1 BRITISH WAR MEDAL, 1902 CORONATION IN SILVER & 1911 CORONATION TO, BRIGADIER GENERAL RICHARD FIELDING EDWARDS. THE RECIPIENT WAS AWARDED HIS C.M.G IN 1917 & THE BRITISH WAR MEDAL IS NAMED TO HIM AS BRIG.GEN. THIS WAS AWARDED TO HIM FOR SHORT VISITS TO FRANCE & HIS HIS SOLE WW1 ENTITELMENT. DESPITE BEING COMMISSIONED IN 1885 THIS IS HIS FULL & COMPLETE GROUP. THE THREE MEDALS ARE COURT MOUNTED FOR WEAR & THE C.M.G IS COMPLETE WITH ITS FULL LENGTH ORIGINAL SILK NECK RIBBON.Richard Fielding Edwards was born on 10 January 1866, son of General C. A. Edwards, Colonel 18th Royal Irish Regiment. He was educated at Cheltenham and R.M.A. Woolwich. Lieutenant, Royal Engineers, 1885; Captain 1894; Major 1902; Lt.-Col. 1910; Colonel 1913; Secretary R.E. Institute, Chatham, 1897-1902; Commanding Mersey Defences 1914-18; Chief Engineer, Malta, 1919-22; Military Member of Executive Council of Malta, 1919-21; retired 1923. He died on 19 December 1942
