1914-15 TRIO WITH ORIGINAL NEWSPAPER CUTTING THAT CONTAINS A PHOTO OF THE RECIPIENT TO, 33307.GNR.K.MYERS.R.F.A. GNR KENNETH MYERS WAS FIRST LANDED IN FRANCE 11-5-1915 SERVING WITH A.BATTERY.52ND.BRIGADE.R.F.A. WHILST IN FRANCE HE DISLOCATED HIS SHOULDER AND WAS ON HIS WAY HOME TO THE UK ON BOARD THE HOSPITAL SHIP ANGLIA WHEN IT WAS SUNK BY A MINE OFF THE COAST OF DOVER 17-11-1915. HE WAS ONLY 19 YEARS OF AGE AT THE TIME OF HIS DEATH AND IS RECORDED AS THE SON OF GEORGE THOMAS & FANNY MYERS OF 115 JOHNSON LANE, ECCLESFIELD, SHEFFIELD. HE HAS NO KNOWN GRAVE OTHER THAN THE SEA BUT HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE HOLLYBROOK MEMORIAL IN SOUTHAMPTON. SOLDIERS DIED IN THE GREAT WAR STATES THAT HE WAS BOTH BORN & ENLISTED IN SHEFFIELD. COMPLETE WITH DETAILS FROM BOTH S.D.G.W & THE C.W.G.C. THE STAR HAS BEEN GILDED BUT THE TRIO IS OTHERWISE NEF OR BETTER.
