1914 MONS STAR TRIO & GV 1ST TYPE ROYAL FLEET RESERVE LONG SERVICE TO,R.M.A.4396.GUNNER.A.J.KENNEDY.R.M.BRIGADE (ON THE 1914 TRIO) & R.M.A.4396 (B.322)A.J.KENNEDY.GR.R.F.R (ON THE RFR LONG SERVICE) COMPLETE WITH COPY SERVICE PAPERS & OTHER RESEEARCH DETAILS THAT STATE ALBERT JOSEPH KENNEDY WAS BORN IN EXETER, DEVON 24-4-1872 AND JOINED THE ROYAL MARINES 24-8-1891. HE WAS TRANSFERED TO THE RFR 25-8-1903 AND RE-CALLED 2-8-1914. HE SERVED ON LAND AT OSTEND 27TH TO 31ST AUGUST 1914 & SPENT THE REST OF HIS WAR SERVING AT HMS ROYAL ARTHUR & HMS CYCLOPS. HE WAS DISCHARGED TO SHORE IN APRIL 1919 & AWARDED HIS RFR LONG SERVICE IN 1922. HE DIED 27-1-1952 AT 115 HUDSON ROAD, PLUMSTEAD, LONDON AND LEFT JUST OVER £550 TO HIS WIDOW DORIS. THE 1911 CENSUS STATES HE WAS A WARDER AT THE ROYAL ARSENAL & WAS A 38 YEAR OLD SINGLE MAN.
