1914-15 TRIO & MEMORIAL PLAQUE COMPLETE WITH THE ORIGINAL PLAQUE BOX, BUCKINGHAM PALACE FORWARDING LETTER, FRONT PAGE FROM THE RECIPIENTS SMALL BOOK & TWO ORIGINAL NEWSPAPER CUTTINGS TO,6705.PTE/CPL.C.MATTHEWS.E.LANC.REGT. CPL CHARLES MATTHEWS WAS KIA F&F 15-6-1917 SERVING WITH THE 7TH SERVICE BATTALION OF THE EAST LANCASHIRE REGIMENT. HE HAD FIRST LANDED IN FRANCE 18-7-1915 & WAS BORN IN MILLOM, CUMBERLAND & ENLISTED IN BARROW-IN-FURNESS WHILST LIVING IN BODMIN CORNWALL.HE WAS 26 YEARS OF AGE AT THE TIME OF HIS DEATH AND IS BURIED IN VOORMEZEELE ENCLOSURE NO-3 CWGC CEMETERY, HE IS RECORDED BY THE CWGC AS THE LATE SON OF JOHN & MARGARET MATTHEWS OF THE BUNGALOW, LANIVET, BODMIN, CORNWALL. COMPLETE WITH MIC DETAILS AND DETAILS FROM BOTH S.D.G.W & THE C.W.G.C ALONG WITH THE ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS AS STATED ABOVE.
